A antique Edwardian era (1901-1915) stacking ring with a decidedly modern feel. This beautiful ring is set with a oval-shaped amethyst, cabochon cut, with a deeply saturated purple hue. The 18ct yellow gold band has a D-shaped profile, and is quite substantial giving it a nice weighty feel on hand. A stunning, eye-catching piece that is perfect for stacking or worn by itself.
Fully stamped for 18ct gold, Malmö, Sweden, 1910. Maker's mark 'GFH' (probably for 'GF Hallengren').

Measurements (approximate): Amethyst measures 17.5mm x 6mm. Rise is 6mm off finger. Band is 7mm wide.
Condition: Very good, with wear commensurate with age. The gem is a lovely, deep purple, with no abrasion or chips visible to the naked eye. The gold has light marks and general wear.
