An exceptional antique Edwardian era (1901-1910) diamond gypsy ring, which once belonged to a member of the British aristocracy. The old European cut diamond has lots of eye-catching sparkle, and is held in a crisp star setting. The band is crafted in 18ct yellow gold and is lustrous with beautiful liquidity to it. A stunning example of its style, timeless and ever-fashionable.
Fully hallmarked for 18ct gold, Birmingham (England), 1901 (rubbed). Maker's mark 'P&S' or 'P&G' (hard to read, but may be for 'Pendleton & Sons').
Size N (US 7). Resizable within reason.

Measurements (approximate): Band measures 7mm at widest point, tapering to 3mm at the rear. Diamond measures 2mm in diameter.
Provenance: Property of a lady of title.
Condition: Good, with wear commensurate with age. The diamond is bright and lively, with no eye visible damage. The gold has marks and general wear. The band could possibly have been resized previously. Please see pictures for details and don't hesitate to ask questions.
