A striking Georgian era (1714-1836) antique sentimental ring. With an oval bezel and enamel border of white and blue, the ring features woven hair worked in a star pattern mounted under crystal, and is crafted in 18ct rose gold throughout. The rear of the bezel is engraved with the monogram 'CP'. The band is of unusual design, made up of concentric arcs for a striking effect. Rings such as this were worn to celebrate romance or to mourn a loved one, and this is a particularly well-preserved example that will please any collector.
No stamps are present, but the gold tests as 18ct.
Size: J (US 5). Cannot be resized.
Weight (approximate): 3.2g
Measurements (approximate): Bezel measures 16mm x 12mm.
