A stunning antique Georgian era (1714-1836) halo ring. Featuring 15 rose cut diamonds in a flowerhead design, the large centre stone is held in a closed foil-backed setting. The diamonds have exceptional fire and the foiling imparts brightness and whiteness to the largest diamond. The shoulders of the ring are set with small diamonds, and bear traces of black enamel. This piece would make a very eye-catching dress ring, or an ideal gift for a special occasion.
No hallmarks are present but the gold tests as 18ct.
Measurements: The head measures approximately 13mm x 11mm. Largest diamond measures approximately 7mm x 4mm. Total diamond weight is estimated as a minimum of 0.8 carats.
Weight: approximately 4.5g
Ring size: UK/AU K (US 5.5). Resizeable within reason.
Condition: Good with wear commensurate with age. Diamonds are in good condition with small chips and nibbles visible when viewed with a loupe.
