This is a Victorian era (1837-1901) Albert chain in 9ct yellow gold, with thick oval links, T-bar, dog clip closure and a nautical fob. Fob is in the form of a life preserver with crossed oars, engraved 'Light Four 1894'. At 12.8" (32.5cm) in length, the chain is suitable for wear as a choker necklace or as bracelet when doubled. A beautiful, unusual and elegant chain that is a must have wardrobe basic.
Fob is fully hallmarked for 9ct gold, Birmingham, 1895, maker's mark 'A.F' for Arthur Fenwick. T-bar, dog clip, jump ring and one of the chain links are also stamped for 9ct gold.
