A stunning Victorian era (1837-1901) bypass bangle. The bangle has a central plaque decorated with a flower applique, the petals of which are represented by three deep-hued garnets. The bangle is made from 10ct yellow gold casing (a layer of gold over base metal), making it a very affordable version of its solid gold counterparts. The bangle opens with a push clasp and hinge. Please note, the original safety chain was missing when the bangle was first photographed. I have since had an antique solid gold safety chain added for extra security - this can be seen in the video.
No hallmarks are present.
Bangle size: Small
Internal diameter: approximately 59mm (2.3") x 48mm (1.9"). It expands to 64mm to slip over hand.
Condition: Good with wear commensurate with age. There are no significant dents or scratches to the metal. Gold casing is worn in a few spots, mainly in inconspicuous areas (primarily on the round 'ball' embellishments). The hinge works well. The catch functions and a safety chain has been added. Please see pictures for details and don't hesitate to ask questions.
Cost includes full insurance coverage for loss or damage in transit.
