A superb antique Victorian era (1837-1901) lucky horseshoe locket in 14ct gold casing, with a slightly rosy hue. The front of the locket is adorned with a large embossed horseshoe against an intricately engraved background. The interior of the locket has a double-sided compartment with the original blue satin lining and frames to hold photographs or keepsakes.
Measurements (approximate): 21mm x 25mm (not including bale) x 7mm
Weight: 8.4g
Condition: Good, with wear commensurate with age. The rear of the locket has some
dents. The hinge and latch function perfectly, opening and closing with ease. The original glass and lining are all present and intact. Please see pictures for details and don't hesitate to ask questions.
