This Victorian era (1837-1901) ‘I Cling to Thee’ ring captures deep love and sentiment with just a simple phrase. The words engraved upon it have become smooth with wear over the century and a half of its existence, suggesting that it rarely left its original owner’s finger. Along with the motto, the ring is embossed with ivy leaves to signify devotion, fidelity and loyalty.
Crafted in slightly rosy 9ct gold, with a tapered band and flat edges, this piece makes a perfect wedding ring or anniversary gift.
Fully stamped for 9ct gold, Birmingham, 1876. Partial maker's mark ( appears to be '& G').
