An eye catching vintage 1960s era Scandinavian Mod style ring. The raised gallery holds a large cabochon cut turquoise with lovely matrix in a bezel setting, to a split shouldered band in slightly rosy 14ct gold. This stunning ring is a real statement piece that embodies mid-century glamour.
Fully stamped for 14ct gold, Västerås, Sweden. Maker's mark 'UN' for Unto Harald Niininen. Date stamped 'N7', which corresponds to 1912, but I believe this has been stamped incorrectly and should actually by 'N9' for 1963.
Size P (US 8). The gold of the band is quite thin and may not hold up for resizing (a jeweller's opinion is recommended).
Weight (approximate): 1.7g
Measurements (approximate): Head of ring is 8mm in diameter. Band tapers from 9mm at the widest point to 2.75mm at the rear.
Condition: Good, with wear commensurate with age. The turquoise has a small amount of movement in its setting, but is secure. The gold has general light marks and wear. Please see pictures for details and don't hesitate to ask questions.
Cost includes postage and full insurance coverage for loss or damage in transit.
