A stunning vintage 1960s era Scandinavian ring set with a citrine of jaw-dropping proportions. The ring features a huge step-cut natural citrine (most likely heat-treated) weighing approximately 53 carats, and held in a prong setting with a decorative gallery. The gem has a deep orange hue with excellent clarity, and is mounted in 18ct yellow gold. This eye-catching ring is a real statement piece that embodies mid-century glamour, and is sure to spark conversation whenever it is worn.

Fully stamped for 18ct gold, Stockholm, Sweden, 1963. Maker's mark 'HJS' (for GH Jonssons).

Size: J ½ (US 5.25). Can be resized within reason.

Measurements (approximate): Citrine measures 22mm x 22mm x 18mm (estimated 53 carat weight). Rise off the finger is 18mm. Band measures 9mm at widest point, tapering to 5mm.

Weight (approximate): 23.8g

Condition: Excellent, with minimal wear commensurate with age. There are a few small scratches to the gem, primarily to the step-cut edges, which are only apparent on close examination. The table facet is clean and there is no abrasion of note. Please see pictures for details and don't hesitate to ask questions.
